TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD PROGRAM (TAP)
The Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) helps young people, especially ages 16–21, build the practical skills, confidence and connections needed for adulthood, employment and greater independence. Personalized guidance, mentorship and hands-on learning help participants prepare for their next steps.
Career readiness: résumé development, job searches, interview preparation and workplace expectations.
Financial literacy: budgeting, banking, credit and income planning.
Life & wellness skills: cooking, time management, personal care and mental health support.
Mentorship & coaching: consistent adults who guide, encourage and advocate.
Education pathways: support with GED and diploma programs, vocational training and post-secondary options.

From music studios to restaurants, Edge students have worked in real industry settings, learning firsthand about the fields they want to enter. These experiences connect their interests with the everyday work, teamwork and professional expectations of those industries.
Work-based learning helps young people explore a career before taking their next step. Alongside employer exposure and professional mentorship, it gives students opportunities to put their skills into practice and make informed decisions about what comes next.
